Midweek action returned to League one football and it was League one leaders Charlton Athletic picked up an important victory and extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points thanks to a 2-1 home win over playoff contenders MK Dons.



League One Week 30 Review: The Weather Again Disrupts Matches


 

Like last week the cold snap hit on Thursday night/Friday morning meaning that nine out of the twelve league one fixtures fell to snow and frozen weather.



League One Week 29 Review: The Cold Snap Strikes

 

Eight league one games were called off at the weekend due to the bad weather that hit the UK in the past the few days. Only four games survived and one of the big games that were left was Huddersfield in third that played MK Dons who were fifth in the league at the Galpharm Stadium.



League One week 27 Review: Chesterfield Earn Priceless Win


Bottom club Chesterfield picked up a much needed win in their fight for survival in league one after a 2-1 away win at Colchester. This was Chesterfield first win since September 17 and their first win in seventeen games.  It was relief all around for manager John Sheridan team who have found it tough in League one after their promotion from League two last season.



League One Week 26 Review: Stevenage Thump Rochdale


 

It was a good end to a tough week for Stevenage, earlier in the week they broke a deal with Preston North End for the release of their manager Graham Westley.  At the weekend, Stevenage travelled to Rochdale and came away with the three points thanks to a brilliant 5-1 win thanks to a star performance of new signing Luke Freeman. Luke Freeman joined permanently from Arsenal on a contract to 2014.
