Only two days after Barcelona were anointed Champions of Europe for the third time in six years Swansea were victorious over Reading, 4-2, in the most financially lucrative game in football.

Championship:    Swansea v Nottingham Forest supplied fans with a complete end to end joy to watch as both games were full of excellent attacking chances in games of 0-0 and 3-1.  Swansea was not only the better team in the tie but the better team in the course of the season as they were able to hold onto the ball with good passing.  It is a marvel Swansea as only years ago in 02-03 they were escaping relegation from the Football League.  Nottingham Forest bows out again in the playoff semi finals only this year to the better team.  The hopes of 3 million Welshmen (minus Cardiff fans) are now on Swansea to be the first Welsh team in the Premier league.
