David Beckham
David Beckham has signed a new two year contract with MLS' LA Galaxy. Beckham and the Galaxy won the MLS double by winning the Supporters Shield (Best record in the regular season) and the MLS Cup.
Gary Cahill
The Bolton center back signed with Chelsea early this week for a reported £7 million ($10.86 million). Cahill's deal is for five and a half years.
Eric Abidal
French fullback Eric Abidal signed a one year extension with Barcalona early this week. Abidal promptly went out and scored the winner in Barca's 2-1 come from behind victory over Real Madrid in their Copa del Rey quarterfinal first leg match at the Bernabeu.
Papiss Demba Cisse
The striker from Freiburg (Bundesliga) signed a five and a half year deal with Newcastle United for a reported £10 million ($15.5 million) transfer fee.
Djamel Mesbah
AC Milan signed the 27 year old Algerian fullback from Lecce. Rumors are circulating about the possible departure of Nigerian fullback Taye Taiwo to Queens Park Rangers (England).
Rabiu Ibrahim
The Nigerian midfielder was signed by Celtic from PSV to a three and a half year deal.
Jonathan Soriano
Signed by Salzburg (Austria) from Barcelona B for a reported €1 million ($1.3 million) fee.
Jackson
A week after loaning out center back George John, FC Dallas have seen Jackson depart for Cruzeiro (Brazil).
Anthony Modeste
Blackburn Rovers have signed the French forward on loan from Bordeaux where the U-21 international saw his role limited significantly since joining Bordeaux in 2010.
Fabian Delph
The English U-21 midfielder will join Leeds United on a one month loan. Delph joined Villa from Leeds in 2009.
